Amy and Chad had just moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma when she purchased her wedding gown in Chicago, Illinois and had it shipped her new residence. She also purchased a gorgeous hand made organza belt with delicate beading and rhinestone detailing that would need to be sewn onto the dress in addition to the basic fit alterations. Because there are not many options in Tulsa, Amy chose an alterations shop that was referred to her by the only bridal salon in the area. Over the following months Amy and her dream dress were treated with less than thoughtful care. She was made to feel like her dress could never fit the way she had envisioned it.

Amy and her husband found out that they had one month to move to Seattle, which was also one month before the wedding. She shipped her dress to Bellevue along with the rest of her life. Because she still wasn’t happy with the fit and condition of her dress, Amy called La Belle Elaine’s to ask if there was any possible way we could help her. Our shop manager, Stacy, simply advised her to come in and meet with our seamstress to get a second opinion on the dress (this is where our happy ending begins).
Amy: I can’t express enough what a dramatic difference my experience was here at La Belle Elaine’s. I was welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Stacy was one of the first people to help me and she was so knowledgeable and honest. I finally felt like a bride!
After meeting with the seamstress, she explained to me that she could absolutely fix my dress and she basically undid all of the sloppy alterations that had been done in Tulsa. She tried some different options to get the belt and fabric to lie just perfectly and smoothly on my body. She spent time with me and assured me it would be done right. I left so happy that I was finally smiling and loving my dress again!
I had also been looking for a hairpiece but hadn’t found anything I liked until coming into La Belle Elaine’s. I happened to meet Sally Crew, the jewelry designer, and described what I wanted after seeing her other pieces. She designed one that was perfect for me!
I am sharing this experience because I believe that quality customer service in addition to quality product is so important and becoming harder and harder to find these days. My experience here was everything I had hoped for as a bride. They exceeded all expectations and delivered as promised. The ladies are lovely and professional. I felt like a princess slipping into my dress on my wedding day because I found La Belle Elaine’s.
